Midwest Specialty Weekend

Xzotika's Rik-O-Shay is off to a great start his first weekend out showing in the conformation ring with handler David Osuna.  Shay wins BOW for a 4pt major under judge Ole Nielsen from Canada.  Mr. Nielsen is a breeder judge.  His breeding stock is from the famed Dynasty and Sandina kennels back when 200 plus afghans would attend a specialty show.  It is a very nice compliment to our breeding program because we focus on breeding "classic type" not the more modern looking afghans that are dripping in coat.  Thank you Mr. Nielsen we appreciate your discriminating eye for afghan hounds.  Also, congratulations Mikki Razor for bringing Shay this far.  You've done an incredible job with him.  Shay's

future looks bright!

UKC Novice Agility title obtained.

Xzotika's Rik-O-Shay completes his UKC novice agility trial his first try.  It was a three day long competition and Shay showed the judges that afghans are a far cry from being untrainable dogs.  Shay scored 99 out of 100 two days and a perfect score of 100 on the final day of the competition.  A heartfelt congratulations to his mommy Mikki Razor for taking such excellent care of him.  We are very happy that our paths crossed and you believed in our dogs.  We are very grateful for all of your efforts with Mr. Shay!

@ a show in Venezuela

Raven's daughter, Celia, Obelisk Colora Mi Xzotika won BOB and a Group 1 at one of the annual clusters held in that country.  Celia was shown proudly by her daddy Mauricio.  Still waiting on pictures on more details so stay tuned.  This is Celia's second win since she started working on her CH title this spring.  Congratulations to Raven's co-owner Wendy Wesley for being the breeder of record for this lovely litter.

Sashay ****BOB****

Blondie's daughter, Sashay wins BOB from the bred by exhibitor class over specials competition.  Thank you judge, Dr. Kevin T. Shimel for awarding our princess a breed win on her way to her CH title.  Sashay now has 14 points with 3 majors.  One more point to go and she will be the first AM CH from the Jackson X Blondie litter.  Her brother, Buster was awarded BOS at the same show.

New AM Grand CH

Naomi's daughter, Tyra, Xzotika Sabbath House Supermodel is now a new Grand CH.  Tyra is now four years old and it has been a wonderful ride watching her mature in the show ring.  Many thanks to her daddy Mr. Anthony Bell Sr. of Sabbath House Afghan Hounds.  We are so thankful for Anthony's part in Tyra's success.  He has been a great friend throughout this entire experience.  We're looking forward to our next conquest together.

Specialty Show Wins!

For the very first time in our breeding history three of our dogs won at the annual St. Louis Specialty Show under judge Kitty Steidel.

Buster, Xzotika's Smooth Kriminal win BOW/WD & Best bred by exhibitor for the 2nd year in a row.  His sister Sashay, Xzotika's Say a little Prayer won WB.  They both have both their majors now.

Naomi's daughter, Tyra, CH Xzotika Sabbath House Supermodel won Select bitch and is now a GRAND CH!!!  Huge congratulations to her daddy Mr. Anthony Bell Sr.

 

 

Forest City Dog Club celebrates it's 45th anniversary

Back to back BOB's in Bergen, Norway

Blondie's daughter, Isis, Xzotika's Send me an angel gained her second CAC and BOB today in Bergen.

 Now she is only one CAC short of her Norwegian and Danish Ch title!!

Not just a pretty face....Shay

Shay wants us to love him for his brains and not his beauty.  Xzotika's Rik-O-Shay was awarded two of the three legs that he needs for his first agility title.  It makes us very happy to announce this because we have been wanting to show that our dogs are smart and can compete in this type of arena as well as be competitive show dogs.  Thanks to his lovely mamma Mikki Razor our Shay is living up to our expectations and we are just thrilled about it.  Thank you Mikki for believing in our dogs it means the world to us.  Congratulations on a job well done!

Oh, What a weekend!

This past weekend at the Belle City Kennel Club Show held at Purina Farms in St. Louis, MO was a huge success.  Tyra and Raven's son Desmond Sabbath House Xzotika The Soul Truth won WD both days snatching up two 3 point majors.  This gives Desmond a total of 8 points now since he started showing two weekends ago at the St. Joe, MO shows.

His mother Tyra was BOS the first day and BOB on the final day.  Giving her a total of 6 more points and another major win towards her Grand Ch title.  Tyra now has 21 points with 6 majors and multiple champions defeated.  Not bad for our patterned princess.

Thank you judges Ann Bolus and Dana Cline for your discriminating taste in afghan hounds.

Also thank you Mr. Anthony Bell who co-owns Tyra and Desmond with us for his hard work and believing in our dogs and pedigree.  We are very thankful we can share the success of our dogs with him.

Little Alexis won her 2nd Specialty Best In Sweeps in FL this past weekend.  She was owner handled by her co-daddy Ray Sylvia of Zmaray. Go Team Alexis!  You are making us proud :-)

Oh what a feeling

It makes us so happy when the people who take a chance on our dogs are able to get out their and show them theirselves and win.  It was a mother and son outing today at the shows in St. Joe, MO. Another major win for Xzotika

Today judge Mrs. Donnelle Richards fell in love with our Buster, Xzotika's Smooth Kriminal and awarded him BOW for a 3pt major. His 1/2 sister Reba, CH Xzotikia's Madame Monet won Select bitch.  This is Reba's 5th major win towards her grand ch title.  All in all it was a very good weekend thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Richards refined taste in afghan hounds.  Stay tuned as Buster, Sashay and Shayde get closer to finishing their ch titles.  All of them now have major wins.  Yay!!!  :-)

Sashay n Reba win!!

Sashay, Xzotika's Say a Little Prayer won WB/BOW today for a 3pt major under judge Del Richards from CA.  Mr. Richards gave Sashay many nice compliments and thought she was very special and beautiful.  Her 1/2 sister Reba, CH Xzotika's Madame Monet won BOS for her fourth major towards her GR CH title.  Reba is almost there.  Just a few more shows to go.  Very exciting day for the Xzotika crew.  Thank you Mr. Richards for using our dogs in the ring today in the winners circle.

Looks like the new year is off to a great start.

Today Jakar Battle Royale Xzotika aka Kinjii won WD/BOW today under judge Lorainne Boutwell.

Ms. Boutwell awarded points to his grand mother CH Aries Jolie Blond back in the day when she was campainging for her title.

Congratulations Amy Donnell of Jakar Afghans for taking such great care of Kinjii and making him shine like the star he is :-)

Suki Suki ya'll!!!

Our little Suki (Stankhouse) aka Xzotika's Sukiyaki won some points today at the Edwardsville KC show in Belleville, IL.  She won BOW under judge David G. Doane M.D.   Suki was breeder/owner/handled to this win by her daddy Gary Wimberley.  Congratulations Gary on winning your first points in the show ring.  BTW, You looked great in the ring today!

Shady & Tyra Win

Today at the Edwardsville KC show Shady won BOW and Tyra won Select bitch under judge Susan St. John-Brown.  Our Shady butt is still undefeated in the classes giving him a total of 11 points in just two weekends of shows.  Tyra was perfect today. She moved beautifully and stood out amongst the bitch specials today.  I am so pleased with how she just keeps getting better and better.  Tyra now has 14 points towards her GR with all of her majors out of the way.  It won't be long before Naomi's baby will be a GRAND CH.  We're taking a break for the holidays and will resume both of their championship quests in January so stay tuned :-)

Double Trouble!

Naomi's daughter Tyra, Xzotika Sabbath House Supermodel won BOS today over top 10 specials securing her third major towards her Grand Championship title.  Tyra's nephew Shayde, Xzotika's Lavish Nightshayde remains undefeated his second weekend out winning WD giving him a total of 9 points now with both majors!  Sincere thanks to judge Mr. Robert Frost.  He had very good hands with the dogs and all of his winners today had Woody, SBIS CH Winsong Hollywood Park in their pedigree as direct sire or grandsire.  Congratulations to all the winners today!

Our little Alexis is plugging along making judges smile everywhere she goes.  Today at the Sand N' Sea Afghan Hound Specialty Show in Brooksville FL Alexis won Best in Sweeps under judge Mary Blacker. 

She also won Best Puppy in the regular classes under Joanne Buhler (Sankhya Afghan Hounds).

Congratulations Ray and Brad on a job well done.  This is our first Best in Sweeps win and we are happy to share it with the two of you!  Good luck the rest of the weekend!

BOW for Sheebah

 

Sheebah wins BOW again under respected judge Elizabeth Muthard. Ms. Muthard has put up several Xzotika dogs over the years. What makes it nice is that the dogs were all shown by different people.  Looks like Ms. Muthard likes what she likes and is reliable.  Makes me very happy. Congratulations Josh n Dave and Happy Anniversary.  Enjoy your trip!

Clean Sweep!!!

Shady wins BOW 4 days in a row at the Springfield, IL shows along with one BOB and two BOS his FIRST weekend out! We are soooooooooooo thrilled with his performance. He certainly has exceeded our expectations. Shady only needs seven more points to finish his AM CH title.  Shady's auntie, Xzotika's Tiger Lilly was Reserve and his other auntie Tyra, Xzotika Sabbath House Supermodel won her 2nd major towards her Grand. Very nice weekend for our dogs and we have one more day to go. Thank you judge James Frederiksen for the fabulous day :-)

Making a Splash, BOB n BOS

Starting off the four day circuit making a huge splash our young puppy Shayde, Xzotika's Lavish Nightshayde wins BOB over SBIS competition his first time in the ring under respected breed authority Eugene Blake. His kennel mate Tyra, CH Xzotika's Sabbath House Supermodel won BOS. Shayde is out of CH Xzotika's Nevermore X Xzotika's Shades of Grace a Naomi daughter.  Hopefully the judges will be kind the rest of the weekend.  Stay tuned for more news!

Wow a Group 2

Alexis, Xzotika's Southern Tigress @ Zmaray won a Group 2 placement today under esteemed hound judge Carol Esterkin. Just an unbelievable start for this 7 month old puppy. A huge congratulations to Ray Sylvia for believing in my dogs and taking a chance on this bitch. I'm sure she will continue to shine on as she matures. Alexis is out of Tucker, Jakar Regle Taylored to Perfection X Lilly, Xzotika's Tiger Lilly. We are thrilled here at Xzotika with this puppies debut! More to come :-)

OMG-7 month old Alexis does it again winning BOB over 2 male specials. One of which is a Gr CH. Carol Esterkin was the judge. Small entry 3-3-2-1 Alexis was shown by her co-owner Ray Sylvia and bred by Jarnell Carter, Carol Ness, Jennifer Cunningham and Dawn Gorsuch. Stay tuned for more news about Ms. Alexis. She will be attending the National this year. Hopefully the judges there will like her too :-)

First time out

Today at a show in FL, Alexis, Xzotika's Southern Tigress @ Zmaray wins BOW under respected judge Mary Ann Alston.  Alexis was shown by her co-owner Ray Sylvia of Zmaray Afghan Hounds. Alexis is 7 months old and this was her first show. A very promising start. Congratulations Ray and Alexis co-breeders Carol Ness (Sahiba), Jennifer Cunningham and Dawn Gorsuch. WTG you guys!

Raven's son Erik, Obelisk Spellbound @ Mountain View won another major reserve. Erik currently has 11 points with a major and he is only 14 months old. His co-owner Lynn Smithson is doing an outstanding job with him.  Erik is pictured here with Mr. Richard Souza of the famous Coastwind Kennels that our dogs are based on.  Lynn reports that Richard loved Erik's type.  Just so exciting to get this report from her.  Good going Lynn.  Erik will finish before you know it. Sheeba wins again!

Mrs. Murrel Purkhiser decided that Sheeba was the one and rewarded her with WB & BOS. Sheeba was shown by her co-owner Josh Agin and taken back in for winners by her second daddy Dave Ulanski. So far Sheeba is undefeated in the classes.  Hopefully she will do us all proud again at her next show in two weeks. WTG Dave and Josh!!! Sheeba is out of our Wonder Dog Raven CH Xzotika's Nevermore and our Naomi daughter Tanzi, Xzotika Shades of Grace.  What a wonderful start to her show career :-)

Sheeba, Xzotika's Rise of the Gold Phoenix won WB today under judge Douglas A. Johnson.  She was shown by her co-owner Josh Agin.  Josh reported that Mr. Johnson just loved her and was very pleased with her performance for her first time out at the show. Very nice when they win the first go around. Sheeba is a beautiful bitch and should finish her AM CH title in record time.  Congratulation Josh Agin and Dave Ulanski.  You guys did a great job :-)

Lilly Wins - Jefferson County KC

Lilly wins WB under judge Michael Sosne giving her a total of 9 points towards her CH title. Lilly just needs her majors to become a CH. Keep your fingers crossed for our standard sized princess to finish her title in grand style at her upcoming shows. Our little mascott Xzotika's Sukiyaki by Edelweiss wins her first point by winning BOB over a Special under Professor Douglas C. Taylor. Suki is just getting started on her quest for her AM CH title.  We hope there will be many more wins for her in the future.  Stay tuned to see what she will win next :-)

reserve Best In Show for Dazzle

Oh so close. Today our little Dazzleman, Xzotika's Provokatuer N' Mocean almost won his first all breed BIS by going reserve under BIS judge Sue Ellen Remple. Thank you Ms. Remple for giving Daz a huge thumbs up at only 14 months old. For a young dog Dazzle is showing the world that he has what it takes to be a top show dog.  Congratulations to his pilot Pamela Scanes of Mocean Afghans.  Without her none of this would have been possible and we are forever grateful.  Dazzle is from the Blondie X Jackson litter. Hopefully Pamela will send us some new photo's soon.  Until then this pic of him should do :-)

Best of Breed for Tiger Lilly

Blondie's daughter Xzotika's Tiger Lilly won best of breed from the classes for two more points towards her CH title. Our Lilly now has 8 points thanks to the discriminating eye of judge Ellen Fetter. Congratulations team Lilly on a job well done! Lilly is co-owned with Carol Ness of Sahiba Afghan Hounds, Jennifer Cunningham and Dawn Gorsuch.

Specialty Show win!

Buster, Xzotika's Smooth Criminal won a 5 point major reserve and Best bred by exhibitor at the St. Louis Specialty.  It was an honor and priveledge showing under Lou Guerrero of Genesis Afghan Hounds. Winning best bred by in tough parent club competition is a wonderful compliment and we know that our dogs are on the right track. Thank you Lou for this prestigious win. Buster had a blast!

Best Puppy

Shady, Xzotika's Lavish Nightshayde participated in the Gateway Hound Club puppy match this past weekend and won Best Puppy his first time out shown by his co-owner Layal Bouaoun.  He was so cute going around the ring and just loved being the center of attention.  We have very high hopes for this puppy and am glad he had a successful showing his first time out.  This boy is one to watch! Shady is out of Naomi's daughter Tanzi and Blondie's son Raven.

California Dreamin! Erik Wins!

Erik wins a major and best of breed from the puppy class at a show in CA with his wonderful owner Lynn Smithson. Erik is the first son out of Raven so far to be major pointed. Erik is only 11 months old and doing fantastic so far.  It thrills me to see my dogs breeding on for others and maintaining the type that we have become known for. Erik is a beautiful puppy and will be another puppy star just like his father.  Look for little Erik at the Monteray Specialty Show in Northern CA this upcoming weekend.  I have a sneaking suspicion that Col. Joe Perkiser will give him his second major win.  Good luck team Erik!!!!

Isis Wins Danish points!!

Everyone's favorite patterned princess, "Miss Isis" won the Danish CAC this past weekend with her mommy Ingunn.  Isis is the third puppy from that litter to recieve points so far.  Jackson would be so proud of his little mamasita! I'm sure he's looking down on her singing her praises :-) Congratulations Ingunn and thank you for taking such wonderful care of our girl.  You both have a very special place in our hearts here at Xzotika.

New Champion!

Dazzle is now new CAN CH Xzotika's Provokateur N' Mocean.  Dazzle finished his CH title this weekend by winning 2 BOB & 2 Group 4 placements in the regular classes.  He was also honored by winning best afghan hound puppy (2), 2 puppy group ones and his seconde Best Puppy in Show award.  Thank you judges and thank you Pamela Skanes of Mocean Afghans for doing such a wonderful job with the Dazzleman.

Dazzle, Xzotika's Provokateur N' Mocean wins Best Puppy, WD & BOW for his 2nd major in Canada under judge Mr. Shelton.  Dazzle was professionally handled by his loving partner in crime Pamela Scanes. 

Reba wins

Reba won over Eugene Blake and secured more points towards her Grand CH title by winning BOS.  Reba is a very happy girl and loves to show it.  The crowd loved her and Mr. Blake loved her movement.  It was a pleasure showing her this past weekend.  Look for Reba at a show near you while she finishes up her title.

Best Puppy, Best bred by Exhibitor

This past weekend was the girls first time out and boy did they shine.  Saturday under Charles Olvis Sashay, Xzotika's Say a little prayer won best puppy and Reserve Winners bitch.  On Sunday her sister Giselle, Aries La Femme Xzotika won best bred by exhibitor under breed authority Eugene Blake.  All in all I would say our first outing was successful.   We are very happy with their performance.
